Community Health Ambassador Program (C.H.A.P.)

The Community Health Ambassador Program (CHAP) is an empowering initiative designed to cultivate healthier communities through the engagement of local high school students. CHAP recruits motivated individuals to serve as positive role models, assisting in the preparation of nutritious meals while promoting wellness among local youth.

These interns share their knowledge during Teaching Kitchens with other students at local schools. This work based learning program builds life skills and each participant receives a food handler certification.

CHAP interns receive hands-on culinary instruction, master basic cooking techniques, food safety practices, and meal preparation methods. CHAP students also learn to maintain the hydroponic and aquaponics systems which produce food for the Healthy Meals Program.

Join CHAP and become a catalyst for positive change, shaping a healthier future for all.
