Moving Arts is leading a community-based pilot program to address the lack of opportunity for justice-involved youth to pivot toward a more productive life.
We will utilize a customized process of interventions based on restorative justice principles. The approach is designed to meet young people’s needs and actualize their strengths through therapeutic intervention, family-centered education, mentorship, community service, and internships.
PIVOT partners include: the New Mexico First Judicial District Attorney’s office, The UNM Department of Criminology and Sociology, regional Clinical Behavioral Health providers, New Mexico Children Youth and Families Department CYFD, and the Española Public School District.
