FREE! Kids for Global Peace: 2019 Human Rights Camp

Kids and youth from across the Española Valley will converge at Moving Arts Española this summer to learn about their own human rights.

Moving Arts Española, True Kids 1 from Taos, and Kids for Global Peace will offer a FREE, three- week day camp, which will engage kids 8 – 12 and young people 12 – 16 through digital media story sharing, fun activities, games, and discussions about the 13 Human Rights for Kids as put forth in Eleanor Roosevelt’s Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Students will also have the opportunity to work with a professional choreographer from New York and a Grammy award winning musician in creating a music video PSA, which will air on Amazon and Netflix. True Kids 1 will lead youth in creating and producing the video, while also providing journalistic coverage of the camp.

The camp will culminate with a Youth Human Rights Town Hall at Moving Arts Española from 5- 6PM. The Town Hall will stream online and be covered on KSFR Santa Fe.
