Northern New Mexico Youth Arts Showcase
United Way of Northern New Mexico in partnership with Northern New Mexico College presents an evening celebrating many of the region’s aspiring performing artists, while providing an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about the rich range of arts organizations and programs available throughout Northern New Mexico.
Please join us for this FREE event with arts, food, and fun for families, children, and youth of all ages.
Kick off the event mixing and mingling with students and teachers from diverse regional organizations including New Mexico School for the Arts, New Mexico Hispano Music Association, Taos Youth Ballet, Española Valley Fiber Arts Center, Tewa Dancers of the North, Northern New Mexico Regional Arts Center, Moving Arts Espanola, Peñasco Theater Collective, Dance Arts Los Alamos, Española Public Schools, Lightening Boy Hoop Dancers, Northern Youth Project ,White Buffalo Arts Center, and Isaiah Lopez of Spanish Colonial Arts.
Organization students will then present works in dance, music, drama, and film. The public will move to the adjoining annex to discover and learn about the different participating organizations––hailing from Santa Fe to Taos and points in between! The evening includes informational tables, live music, and free food from Espanola’s own Moving Arts Culinary Arts Students, who have been feeding hearts and fueling imaginations since 2008.
This is the first event of its kind in the Española Valley.
